That Garrison Girl hats are one-of-a-kind handcrafted wearable art created by award-winning Atlanta-based designer and milliner, Chris Harris. Her fine couture millinery and fashion accessories have been featured in exclusive specialty shops throughout the eastern United States and California, and her flair for original design is represented in each of her hats.

She creates hand-sculpted cloches, glamorous wide-brimmed straw Derby Hats, fascinators, and frothy wedding hats, but also makes soft travel and summer hats that have the comfortable elegance of a rumpled linen suit. Likewise, her felt and velvet hats for her Fall and Winter Collections are meticulously sculpted in a unique and artful manner.

Her style is nostalgic and romantic, but always wearable. Florals, feathers, antique and designer buttons, lace, netting or beaded appliqués distinguish each creation. What goes into a handmade hat?

The differences between a That Garrison Girl hat and a mass-produced hat are many. The blocking and shaping processes are done by hand, with most spring straws hand-dyed and sometimes double and triple-dyed. Trims are hand-sewn with all stitching covered by That Garrison Girl signature appliqués. Finally, each hat is inspected and double-checked by hand to assure the highest consumer quality.

All this handwork is lengthy and time-consuming, but the end result is a fine finished product for the discriminating wearer.

Since That Garrison Girl hats have no front or back, by simply giving the hat a quarter-turn you can have a different look able to match any outfit.
